I've been told the story behind Passing Time Crafting is inspiring and have been encouraged to share so here you go; my name is Mary, my prelude to crafting wreaths began eight years ago, just days before the festive embrace of Christmas, my life took an unforeseen turn. Faced with an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis (one of the 10 most deadliest cancers) and a daunting survival chance of just 35%, I embarked on a journey that tested the limits of my strength and resilience. It’s a journey punctuated by the reality of having been diagnosed at advanced stage 4, primarily due to the lack of early screening tests for ovarian cancer—a condition the Pap test, designed for cervical cancer screening. does not detect.

Despite the long and arduous battle, with countless rounds of chemotherapy that left indelible marks on my well-being. I found myself in a moment of serene stability. My cancer, had gone into remission, allowing me the cherished opportunity to pivot from mere existence to a renewed embrace of life’s vibrancies. I attribute this opportunity to my brilliant Gynecological Oncologist , his care team, and the power of prayer.

In this newfound chapter, I found solace and expression in the art of crafting wreaths—each creation a testament to perseverance, hope, and the unwavering support of family and friends. This craft had not only been a sanctuary for my spirit but had also opened doors to heartwarming friendships and a community that shares in the joy of creation and the beauty it brings to our surroundings.

Understanding the journey I am on, with the shadow of recurrence ever-present, I approach each day with a warrior’s spirit and a creator’s heart. Through each item, I channeled this ethos, aiming to infuse homes with not just an aesthetic adornment, but a piece that carries the profound story of a journey through adversity to a place of grace and tenacity. Unfortunately, my cancer's activity returned with yet another reoccurrence. The long-term effects of chemotherapy has caused the neuropathy in my hands to become so severe I can no longer craft the wreaths that were a celebration of life’s fragility and the strength we discover within.

My journey is ongoing. with unwavering support. Creativity does not quit nor will I, I've shifted gears and am devoted to procuring high quality, handpicked Deco Mesh selections for DIY individuals and crafters alike. Here, you'll find more than just products here you will discover a cause, and a shared journey towards light, even in the face of darkness.
